Staff Report / buffalolocal.org

The 3rd Annual Chili Cook Off is set to take place on Sunday, December 8th, from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Amherst Police Community Policing and Training Facility, located at 4220 Bailey Ave, Amherst, NY. The event invites attendees to taste and score chili prepared by members of law enforcement and fire agencies from across Western New York.

Admission to the event is free, but attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items as donations. All donations will benefit the Buffalo Sabres Alumni Holiday Food Drive.

Celebrity judge Rob Ray, a former player for the Buffalo Sabres, will be present at the event. Additional special guests include Sabretooth, who will arrive at 2 PM, and Santa, who will be there at 1 PM.

Families can enjoy a variety of activities, including a coloring contest, hot chocolate, games, and more.

East Aurora Police Department officers, Lt. Bastine and PO Shea, will be representing their department in the chili competition before the Buffalo Bills vs. Los Angeles Rams game that kicks off at 4:25 PM.
