The National Weather Service in Buffalo, NY has issued a weather forecast for October 13, 2024. The forecast predicts varying chances of precipitation throughout the day across several locations in the region.

In Dunkirk, the chance of rain is 75% at midnight and 70% at 6 AM. Jamestown is expected to see an 85% chance of rain at midnight, decreasing to 50% by noon. Buffalo will experience an 85% chance at midnight, tapering to 80% by noon. Springville's rain chances start at 85% at midnight and drop to 60% by noon. Olean will have an 80% chance of rain at midnight and a 60% chance at noon. In Medina, the forecast shows a significant chance of 85% at midnight, rising to 90% at 6 AM, and then decreasing to 75% by noon. Batavia is predicted to have an 85% chance at midnight, declining to 50% by noon. Warsaw will see an 80% chance at midnight and 70% by 6 AM. Wellsville has an 85% chance at midnight, dropping to 50% by noon. Finally, Dansville is forecasted to start with an 85% chance at midnight and decrease to 55% by noon.

Heavy rainfall is expected to move in later tonight, especially in areas along and south of Interstate 90, with rainfall amounts projected between 1 to 1.5 inches in the Southern Tier and 0.1 to 0.25 inches near the St. Lawrence.

Following the rain, cooler and unsettled weather is anticipated through midweek, with nighttime temperatures low enough to possibly support wet snow in higher elevations.
