**Buffalo Police Department Makes Arrest for Violation of Protection Order**

Buffalo, NY – On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, the Buffalo Police Department arrested a man for violating an order of protection. Officers responded to a trespassing report around 8 p.m. on the 700 block of Potomac, where a caller reported that a man was trying to enter a boarded-up home.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the suspect hiding in a closet inside the dwelling. They determined that he was in violation of an order of protection related to a different address on the same street.

William Gray Jr., 41, of Buffalo has been charged with one count of Criminal Contempt in the First Degree, a class E felony, one count of Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, a class A misdemeanor, and one count of Criminal Trespassing in the Second Degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Gray has been arrested seven times in 2024 for various charges, including criminal contempt, public lewdness, trespassing, disorderly conduct, and harassment.
