Chilly Air Mass Brings Frosty Conditions Ahead
Staff Report / FLXlocal.org
Tonight’s temperatures are expected to be close to normal, but many areas will feel much chillier than recent days. In particular, parts of the Southern Tier and Lewis County may see some frost. Residents are advised to have their scrapers ready for potential frost this evening.
Chilly weather is forecasted to continue through Thursday, with temperatures remaining slightly below normal. The National Weather Service in Buffalo, New York, reports that a fresh autumn air mass will contribute to the cooler conditions throughout the week. Tonight carries a risk of frost in typically colder areas, but the highest chance for frost is anticipated on Thursday night.
Additionally, the chilly air is expected to bring some nuisance lake effect clouds and spotty light showers southeast of the lakes.
