Cold Front Brings Showers and Cooler Temperatures Today

A cold front is expected to move through Western New York today, October 2, 2024. According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, a broken line of showers will move eastward throughout the day.

Conditions will begin to improve in far western New York shortly after daybreak, with the Genesee Valley anticipated to dry out by mid to late morning. Showers are projected to end east of Lake Ontario by early to mid-afternoon.

Temperatures will be cooler today, reaching high temperatures in the 60s, with upper 50s expected on hilltops. Although the early morning commute may be affected by dreary weather, sunshine is expected to return later this morning, with clearing skies anticipated in the afternoon.
