Lake Effect Snow Warnings in Western New York

Lake effect snow will persist in the western Southern Tier and southeast of Lake Ontario this evening. Lake Effect Snow Warnings are in effect for Chautauqua and Cattaraugus County until 7 PM Tuesday. Additionally, a Winter Weather Advisory is active for Wayne and Northern Cayuga County until 1 PM Tuesday. According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, New York, residents should prepare for continued snow accumulation in these areas.
