High pressure is expected to bring fair and dry weather to the region through Sunday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service Buffalo office. This stretch of dry weather follows a period where many areas have received between 3 to 6 inches less rainfall than normal since the beginning of Fall.

While the clear conditions may benefit those with outdoor plans, the region still faces a significant precipitation deficit. A cold front is anticipated to move through on Sunday night, bringing the next chance for showers.

Further opportunities for widespread soaking rain are expected later next week. The information presented is based on provisional data collected and generated on November 15, 2024, by the High Plains Regional Climate Center.
