**Fall Curbside Leaf Pickup and Residential Drop-Off Announced in Buffalo**

Buffalo, NY – The City of Buffalo is launching its Fall Curbside Leaf Pickup and Residential Drop-Off program to help keep streets and storm drains clean. Residents are encouraged to prepare for leaf disposal through two main options: curbside pickup and drop-off at designated locations.

For curbside pickup, residents must place leaves, brush, and small branches in clear or paper bags. These bags should be placed at the curbside for city crews to collect. There is no limit on the number of bags residents can put out for pickup, but raking leaves into the street is prohibited and could result in a summons.

For those who prefer to drop off their yard waste, they can visit Geiter Done of WNY, located at 383 Babcock St., with entrance on Dorothy. The drop-off is available Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Residents must sign in and show proof of City of Buffalo residency. Additionally, they can pick up free compost but are required to bring their own containers. Illegal dumping will be monitored, and violators may be fined. The facility reserves the right to refuse any material at its discretion.

Acceptable materials for both curbside pickup and drop-off include branches, brush, Christmas trees, leaves, plant cuttings, stumps, and uncontaminated wood waste. Grass clippings, blacktop, and rubber are among the materials that are unacceptable.

For further information, residents can visit buffalorecycles.org or call 716-851-5014.
