NWS Announces Remaining Winter SKYWARN Training Sessions

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Buffalo, New York, has announced four remaining Winter SKYWARN training sessions for the fall season. Three of these sessions will take place next week. The schedule is as follows:
- November 12 at 6 PM in Lackawanna
- November 13 at 6 PM at SUNY Oswego
- November 14 at 7 PM for a virtual online session
- November 19 at 10 AM for another virtual online session
These training sessions will cover topics such as lake effect snow, ice storms, wind storms, and the proper techniques for measuring and reporting snow and ice conditions to the NWS.
