The Buffalo Police Department announced that an arrest was made on Saturday, November 2, 2024, in connection with a robbery that occurred that same day.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., officers in the E District responded to multiple calls reporting an assault in progress at a gas station located at the corner of E Delavan Avenue and Suffolk Street. According to the victim, two men assaulted him and stole a bag that contained personal items, about $700 in cash, and his phone. The theft of the phone prevented the victim from calling 911.

Following the incident, police patrolled the area and located two males who matched the descriptions provided in the 911 calls. The suspects were arrested without any issues.

The arrested individuals, Nazjear Phillips, 25, and Lanique Taylor, 28, do not have a permanent address. They have been charged with two counts of Robbery in the Second Degree, a class C felony, and one count of Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, a class A misdemeanor.
